Everyday Japanese

I grabbed this book off the shelf of a library just to have a look at it. It's actually a rather nifty learning material. It basically has 34 lists of important Japanese words and expressions; each list has an illustration with numbered elements for the words on the list to aid memorization. There are also extensive notes about important aspects of Japanese culture relating to the words (how to use a Japanese bathroom, for example, or how to count on your fingers; hint: they count to 10 on one hand.) All the words are shown in romaji, kana and kanji. It's worth checking out.
